iabin and the cbd Clearing-House Mechanism
The
CHM and
IABIN have many goals in common.
These goals include facilitating the development and implementation of
technologies and best practices necessary in order to share knowledge and
information relevant to biodiversity conservation and sustainable
management. To establish a framework for collaboration between IABIN and
the CHM, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in July
2002. The MOC will promote
the exchange of scientific and technical knowledge and augment scientific
and technical information capabilities of the Parties to this MOC and
their constituents.
As part of the collaboration,
IABIN is represented on the CHM Informal Advisory Committee, and the
CHM Secretariat is invited to IABIN discussions.
