Commitment and enthusiasm to accept responsibility

Access to good telecommunications infrastructure including high speed Internet connections

Knowledgeable staff about biodiversity issues and their importance

Experience in multi-national activities

Knowledge of the biodiversity structures in governments; understands with whom to interact within governments

Ability to be flexible and not overly bureaucratic

Ability to provide overhead and infrastructure such as facilities, backbone telecommunications

Internet technology application experience, especially distributed web architectures

Ability to accept money from varying sources including governments, private sector, foundations and NGOs

Secretariat/Program Direction Experience

Ability to contract and recruit easily and broadly
